Established in Melbourne in 1996, GPS is owned by Barry Clark and Alister Danks who have over 60 years’ experience across key sectors of the manufacturing, logistics, and management consulting industries.

Alister Danks
Managing Director
Alister is one of Australia’s leading experts in school procurement. His deep knowledge of the needs of private schools allows Alister to provide expert advice and management of procurement projects. Alister has extensive experience in business consulting, commercial operations and procurement during his time at Accenture and Toll Logistics, and continues to assist commercial and industrial clients through Global Procurement Services. He has an Engineering degree from Melbourne University and MBA from London Business School.
Barry Clark
Non-Executive Director
Barry has over 30 years of General Management experience across manufacturing, procurement, logistics and supply chain. Previously a senior executive at Toll Logistics, where he led the Automotive and contract logistics business across Australia and Asia. He also has extensive Board experience in the same regions. An established C-level professional with strong government and community links and has well-established networks in relevant sectors and industry groups. A strong cost manager and business coach, he has a Diploma of Business (Marketing) and is a fellow of the Australia Institute of Company Directors.
Mike Skillington
Senior Procurement Consultant
Previously, Mike held senior positions with ExxonMobil (34 years) including chief procurement officer for various operating units (sourcing, contracting, supply chain and accounts payables) across a diverse geographical and cultural area including Australia, Papua New Guinea, Korea, Japan and Russia.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from Monash University, with further training in P2P software (SAP, Ariba), Lean Manufacturing and 6 Sigma.
Jeremy Gaffney
Project Delivery Manager
Jeremy is a senior professional with over 30 years experience in procurement, retail supply chains, construction and manufacturing. He has a background in construction procurement in the UK, before working in Australia for the past decade. Jeremy was a senior member of the Coles procurement team, delivering a range of CAPEX and OPEX projects across Supermarkets, Liquor and Coles Express. He is experienced in major contract negotiations across both capital equipment/property and services, with an in-depth knowledge of legal contractual arrangements and Total Cost of Ownership models.
Jeremy utilises his procurement, commercial and people management experience to manage the delivery of projects for SchoolProcure clients. He holds an MBA from Nottingham Trent University Business School (UK), and has completed as wide range of CIPS and corporate training.
David Wylie
Senior Procurement Analyst
David has been working with schools on procurement projects for a number of years and is highly focused on meeting and exceeding client expectations. Prior to GPS, David held senior procurement roles at Holden and Dana Corporation, and general management roles at Dana Corporation, Tyco (Asia), Corsair (Vietnam), Toll Logistics (India). David has a Science/Art Degree from Monash University, Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from Adelaide University and a Lean Management Certificate from Kentucky University. He is also a certified Black Belt.
Mark Gifford
Procurement Analyst
Mark’s previous experience includes procurement and supply chain management in several competitive industries including financial services and accounting, e-commerce and food manufacturing. Mark has worked at McCain Foods, PwC and Lux Group focusing on sustainable cost advantage, purchasing projects and tender processes
Mark holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Melbourne University.
Coco Guo
Procurement Analyst
Coco has professional accounting and financial analysis experience in large financial institutions and SMEs across multiple industries such as construction, retail, superannuation, and business advisory. She is bilingual, has lived and studied in China, Singapore and Melbourne. She has a Bachelor of Commerce and Master of International Business from Melbourne University.
